One does not simply ‘JUST scuba dive’ – it’s a lifestyle that
enhances certain traits deep (pun intended) within your soul.
Traits such as having a sense of wonder for small things, caring
for the environment and having a keen curiosity for the well-balanced
eco-system the underwater world has to offer.
In case you have missed some of the below, here is a round-up
of our favourite pieces of content this past month.
This year we rallied people from the
local government alongside our
Meridian Adventure Dive (MAD)
family to combine conservation
and adventure with the Project
Aware cleanup in Waisai.
The team collected over 270kg
of debris from the beach and reef
in less than 3 hours!
Mangroves are crucial for coastal
protection. Their tangled root
systems prevent erosion, aid water
filtration and prevent sediment from
damaging coral reefs. The nutrients
from the mangrove forests provide
an essential nursery habitat for a
diversity of marine life, especially
juvenile fish and reef sharks.
Read about the many benefits it
holds to the "Diver's Final Frontier".
The InterDive trade show is an integral part of the dive industry,
showcasing diving, snorkelling and travel. The Meridian Adventure
Dive team had a splendid 4 days emerged in all things diving.
